Event Description:
Come celebrate the 89th Birthday Commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in the Fourth Street Lobby of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library
150 East San Fernando Street, San jose
The celebration will include:
Multi-cultural drumming;
Dr. Clayborne Carson, Director of the Martin Luther King, Jr., Research and Education Institute;
Prof. Scott Meyers- Lipton on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. for today;
Members of the Community will read excerpts from several of Dr. King's most momentous speeches;
Reflection on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the MLK of India;
Dance of Peace.
This event is free and open to the public and is wheelchair accessible.
Seating is limited.
