Brian Ferrell: Finding the Details at the Intersection
Start Date: 10/16/2018Start Time: 5:00 PM
End Date: 10/16/2018End Time: 6:00 PM

Event Description:
Brian Ferrell is an artist who creates sculpture in functional forms. His multi-media designs play on subtle contours, daring construction, and hidden details. This manipulation of materials allows him to stretch expectations of common objects. Ferrell’s work is a tactile experience, drawing on influences that include architecture, philosophy, and music.

Ferrell was honored with a solo exhibition at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater during the summer of 2008. He holds a BFA in Jewelry/Metals from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and an MFA from the Program in Artisanry at University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth.

This acclaimed weekly lecture series brings in artists, designers, and critical theorists from around the world. All lecture presentations take place 5-6pm in the SJSU Art Lecture Hall (Room 133), unless otherwise indicated. Free and open to the public!
