Event Description:
Former Steinbeck Fellows Dallas Woodburn (Woman, Running Late, In A Dress) and Peter Nathaniel Malae (Son of Amity) will read from new works of fiction.

Peter Nathaniel Malae is the author of the novels, OUR FRAIL BLOOD (Grove, '13) and WHAT WE ARE (Grove, '10), a New York Times Editor's Choice, San Francisco Foundation's Joseph Henry Jackson Award winner and Pacific Northwest Booksellers Award finalist. Malae's fourth book of fiction, the novel, SON OF AMITY, will be published in October '18 by Oregon State University Press.

Dallas Woodburn, a former Steinbeck Fellow in Creative Writing, has published work in ZYZZYVA, The Nashville Review, The Los Angeles Times, and Monkeybicycle, among many others. Her debut short story collection Woman, Running Late, in a Dress was published by Yellow Flag Press and won the 2018 Cypress & Pine Short Fiction Award. In addition to her own writing, Dallas is the founder of Write On! Books, an organization that empowers youth through reading and writing endeavors:
