End Date: 11/2/2017End Time: 1:30 PM

Event Description:

As part of our “Engaging for Success” series, the Center for Faculty Development is delighted to invite you to join us ... as we sponsor an interactive workshop led by Dr. Manju Banerjee, Vice President of Educational Research and Innovation at Landmark College. Dr. Banerjee has over 29 years of experience in the field of ADHD, learning disabilities, and postsecondary education. She specializes in assisting faculty & staff to recognize the needs of students with atypical and wide-ranging learning profiles, and to craft the supports and approaches they offer accordingly. Participants in this workshop are bound to emerge with a wealth of cutting-edge information and techniques that will enhance their ability to reach and teach the students with whom they work!

Study skills have come a long way since handwritten flashcards and two-column note-taking. Drawing from current understanding of neural circuitry and neurodiversity of the adolescent and young adult learner, this session will present novel ways to look at study skills as a dynamic developmental process. Dr. Banerjee will demonstrate specific strategies to address course assignments and ways to activate and connect with hard to reach students. Please RSVP by October 27th
