Yannick Jacquet: Rooted in Resilience
Start Date: 11/13/2018 All Day
End Date: 11/13/2018

Event Description:
In conjunction with the opening of his solo exhibition later this evening, Yannick Jacquet will present an overview of his work over the last ten years as he has developed visual arts projects exploring how to reverse the deterioration inherent in our exchanges with the world. His process of visual creation draws on structural elements as disparate as the architecture of the Centre Pompidou-Metz and a Ravel string quartet. While the precise stratagem may vary, from the spectacular to the intimate, each undertaking is always rooted in the concept of resilience. This is art haunted by a discourse about the end of time.

TUESDAY NIGHT LECTURE SERIES | An acclaimed weekly lecture series brings in artists, designers, and critical theorists from around the world, broadening the students’ experiential base and complementing local offerings. All lectures and exhibitions are open to the general public free of charge. Unless otherwise indicated, all presentations will be held in the Art Building, Room #133, from 5-6pm.
