Event Description:

Come be part of this brown-bag noon-time lecture series, an opportunity to listen to women faculty on campus share their research interests, achievements, and to create much-needed conversation about faculty interests on campus.   FEATURED PRESENTER:  Dr. Miranda Worthen, Assistant Professor, Health Science and Recreation.  TOPIC: "Reintegration of War Affected Young Mothers: Findings from a community based participatory action research study in Liberia, Sierra Leone and northern Uganda"


Miranda Worthen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Science and Recreation. She received her PhD in epidemiology from U.C. Berkeley and an MPhil in international development from Oxford University. Her work is interdisciplinary, with a focus on marginalized and war-affected populations in post conflict settings.
