Event Description:

As educators, we cringe when we learn that a student has plagiarized, that they have cheated, or that they have committed some other form of academic dishonesty. It makes us uncomfortable. It makes us angry. It makes us sad.  Please join us for what we are confident will be an informative interactive session, where we will address the following topics:  What should you do if you believe a student is cheating? What are the university disciplinary consequences, if a student is found to have engaged in academic dishonesty?  And most importantly, what are ways you can help minimize the likelihood that a student will "resort" to such measures, in the first place? The Office of Student Conduct and Ethical Development, the University Ombudsman and the Center for Faculty Development will co-lead this session, sharing information and guiding participants to consider ways to promote academic integrity in their classes.
