Event Description:
When we think of racial inequality we usually think of police brutality or the criminal justice system. But what about our water and air? In this workshop we will discuss how racism and class intersect when it comes to people of color and polluted neighborhoods. In this workshop we will explore the racialization of environmental events such as Hurricane Katrina, Flint Michigan Water Crisis, and the Dakota Access Pipeline.
