Nayomi Munaweera: A Reading and Conversation

Event Description:
On February 28, 2019, join the Center for Literary Arts of San José for a night of reading and conversation with our Lurie Author-in-Residence, Nayomi Munaweera. This event will take place at 7 PM in Room 225 of the Martin Luther King Jr. Library. There will be an audience Q&A and book-signing/reception to follow. This event is free and open to the public.
Nayomi Munaweera’s debut novel, Island of a Thousand Mirrors, was long-listed for the Man Asia Literary Prize, short-listed for the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature, and won the Commonwealth Prize for Asia. Munaweera’s second critically acclaimed novel, What Lies Between Us, won the Sri Lankan National Book Award. Munaweera is widely anthologized in fiction and non-fiction. She is currently at work on her third book.
