Double Show Arthur Kao and Hui-ya Yui (King Library)

Event Description:
Arthur Kao was born in Taiwan in 1942 and he immigrated to the United State in 1970. He masters art history, art theory, and painting. He came to teach art history at SJSU in 1989 and retired 2011. After he retired from SJSU, he continued to serve as a visiting professor at the National Taiwan University of Arts.
In painting, Arthur has greatly benefited from his teaching career and art history studies that enriched his techniques and imagination. His paintings have been exhibited in Taiwan, China, Japan, and various other locations in the United States. The current exhibit, “Inheritance and Innovation Exhibition”, showcases examples of his diversified works. On Saturday, July 28th, at 2pm-4pm, he will conduct a lecture on the development of Chinese painting and provide a short introduction to his paintings.
