QPR: Three steps anyone can learn to help prevent suicide Training

Dr. Wei-Chien SJSU'sGLS Grant Program Director and SJSU CAPS Coordinator will facilitate this session of QPRQPR is an internationally recognized gatekeeper training program and one of the best practices for suicide prevention. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.

Steps to Enroll (Course number: TRHW28 Session: #0001):

Log into PeopleSoft (MySJSU) and navigate as follows:

  1. Click on SJSU @ Work

  2. In the Employee Self Service Section

  3. Look for Learning and Development

  4. Click on SJ-Enroll in Training Classes

  5. Click Search by Course Number

  6. Enter the course number TRHW28 (case sensitive) and click Search

  7. Click View Available Session(s)

  8. Click the Session Number 0001

  9. Click Enroll
