Risk Factors for Anger and Violent Behavior in U.S. Military Service Members (King Library)

Event Description:
Dr. Miranda Worthen's research is at the intersection of public health and social justice. She previously co-coordinated a participatory action research study with young mothers in West Africa who had been child soldiers. That work has been widely cited, including in the UNICEF Paris Principles. More recently, Dr. Worthen has led a mixed-methods study aimed at understanding reintegration challenges for U.S. Veterans and service members.

Dr. Worthen is an associate professor in the Department of Health Science & Recreation in the College of Applies Sciences & Arts, and coordinates the undergraduate Public Health program.
