People.Book.Land: The 3,500 Year Relationship of the Jewish People with the Holy Land
Start Date: 11/27/2017Start Time: 10:00 AM
End Date: 12/1/2017End Time: 6:00 PM
Event Description:
Spartans for Israel, Hillel of Silicon Valley, together with Simon Wiesenthal Center, will be co-sponsoring the historical exhibit, “People. Book. Land: The 3,500 Year Relationship of the Jewish People with the Holy Land.” The exhibit will be open from November 27-30 in the Student Union of San Jose State University between 10 am and 6 pm.

To launch the opening of the exhibit, there will be a VIP Reception on Monday, November 27 at 5 pm at San Jose State University (in the Ballroom of the Student Union). This is the only exhibition tracing the history affair between a people and the Land of Israel to have earned the co-sponsorship of the United Nations. Since its opening at UNESCO world headquarters in Paris, the exhibition has met with acclaim at United Nations World headquarters in NY, The House of Commons, Capitol Hill, The Knesset, The Ghandi Cultural Center (New Delhi), The European Commission Headquarters (Strasbourg), Baku (Azerbaijan), Buenos Aires, Santiago, Chile, Copenhagen, Chicago, and Tokyo (Dec 2017).

UNESCO's endorsement of People.Book.Land, stands in stark contrast to efforts at the UN to erase Jewish history by attempting to rebrand The Western Wall, Rachel's Tomb, and The Tomb of the Patriarchs as exclusively Muslim sites. Show your solidarity with the Jewish people's land, values, and continuity by attending the West Coast premiere of the Simon Wiesenthal Center's exhibition.

Kindly RSVP to sarita@hillelsv.org for the VIP Reception. No RSVP required to view the exhibit.
