Abstract: Algebraic vision is an emerging view point of problems in
computer vision that aims to model and solve problems in that field using polynomials. This brings in new tools and ideas from a number of areas that are not commonly used in computer vision such as combinatorics, algebraic geometry and algebraic optimization. In this
talk, I will explain a particular geometric problem concerning the reconstruction of 3D scenes from camera images, that proceeds by algebraic means.
