The Engineering Building (ENG) is home to several schools, departments, and programs of the Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering which graduates over 2,000 alumni every year who go on to work at Silicon Valley's leading technology companies. The Engineering Building features lecture rooms, laboratories, and workshop and makerspaces including for SJSU's acclaimed Formula SAE racing program, three-dimensional printing, microscale process engineering and prototyping, open computing, and virtual and augmented reality.

Charles W. Davidson (1931-2021), '57 Civil Engineering and '14 Honorary Doctorate, was an Air Force veteran, philanthropist and founding chair of the SJSU Tower Foundation, and affordable housing developer in Santa Clara County.

Note: the building's initialism is ENG; ENGR is the abbreviation reserved and solely used for academic course listings. Example, "ENG 101" would refer to the physical classroom; "ENGR 101" would refer to a class.
