Please join us for a virtual talk given by guest speaker Dr. Bettina Aptheker who will present, "Celebrating Woman Suffrage (1920 - 2020) & the Ongoing Campaign for Voting Rights." Dr. Bettina Aptheker will discuss the arduous and different struggles experienced by minority women to gain the right to vote as well as ways in which woman suffrage was always intertwined with struggles against racism, white supremacy, lynching, settler colonialism, and anti-immigrant insularity.
