The Spatial Analytics and Visualization Institute (SAVI) at San José State University, in partnership with Public Interest Technology University Network (PIT-UN), is delighted to announce the 2024 student poster competition. This competition focuses on spatial analytics and visualization work related to urban planning, geography, UAV/Drones, wildfire science, and public policy issues. Submissions will be evaluated by a professional jury and are eligible for cash prizes and a digital badge. The posters must incorporate  a significant spatial data component and are encouraged (though not required) to relate to the 2024 SJSU GIS Day day theme: Data and Democracy.

Spatial Analytics and Visualtization Institute (SAVI) and the SJSU GIS and Drone Society will celebrate National GIS Day with an afternoon focused on Data and Democracy. It's sure to be lively with the 2024 Presidential election just a few weeks in the rear view mirror! The student poster competition co-sponsored by the Public Interest Technology University Networks (PIT-UN) returns with larger prizes! Join us at the Studio on the Street (76 South First Street) from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm for dynamic conversations, amazing maps, engaging art, and yummy food!
