A Note about the Evet From Cassandra Straubing, Glass Faculty Head and Studio Coordinator

My students and I are putting together a menu of foods that can be cooked with hot glass (think 2100^ Fahrenheit).  Some menu items will be stir fried over large puddles of molten glass, some items will be cooked within a hot glass vessel designed to match the needs of that particular food, and some will be cooked by drizzling hot glass over the food, baking it (within a protective enclosure of course).  The courses will be served throughout the evening in a progressive dinner party/tapas like style in conjunction with some other premade party menu items.

We will also have a glass exhibition set up in the adjoining classroom of current students and past alumni glass works.  It will be nothing short of awesome!
