SJSU Staff has been selected to be part of a new Adobe Acrobat AI Assistant pilot program.

Why: Knowledge workers spend ~8 hours/week on average looking for information, often sifting through dense documents full of unstructured data. This innovative tool is designed to give you back some of those valuable hours by enhancing our campus’ digital document management and collaboration capabilities.

What is it: AI Assistant lives in Adobe Acrobat, which you’re likely using to create, edit, and share PDFs. It leverages secure artificial intelligence to streamline our handling of PDF documents while maintaining our campus’ data privacy. It can automate repetitive tasks, deliver key insights from the densest documents, and easily produce information-rich content.

Here are some key use cases relevant to our campus community:

  • R&D teams can rapidly review existing research and technical documentation to accelerate innovation.
  • Admin staff can extract insights from strategy documents, summarize reports, and generate presentation outlines in minutes.
  • Career Services can monitor industry trends while sharing insights and feedback with students and faculty.
  • And more, including IT, Marketing & Comms, and Legal!
