SJSU Faculty and Staff has been selected to be part of a new Adobe Acrobat AI Assistant pilot program.

Sign up for access to Adobe Acrobat AI Assistant using this form.

This workshop hosted by Raymond Lam, Adobe Trainer and Instructional Designer from University Library will include a live demo of the software, how to get access to this new software, as well as Q/A on how to use it in day to day staff work.

SJSU faculty and staff now have access to an Acrobat Pro feature that essentially turns Acrobat Pro into a GPT model trained only on pdf's you've uploaded. If anyone in your area has been copying and pasting PDFS into ChatGPT for analysis - Acrobat Pro is a much more streamlined and privacy compliant way to do it. Check out the screenshot further below.

I asked Acrobat Pro AI Assistant "what are some student impacts" from the 2021 SJSU Impact Analysis Report. You can see it extracted information about financial aid and scholarships and gave it a citation - allowing you to jump directly to the source of where AI Assistant drew its conclusion from. It's a very powerful feature with wide ranging uses.

More than one PDF can be uploaded to the model. For example, the University Library could upload application letters / research papers from 20 students - and prompt an AI Assistant to answer questions in reference to those 20 documents. AI Assistant will only give an answer within the scope of the 20 documents you've uploaded.
