Dr. Brent Duckor and Dr. Carrie Holmberg will present a lecture as part of an IAEP series “Assessment for Deeper Learning” webinar titled, “Assessing AI-assisted Assessment: Promises, Dilemmas and Opportunities for Going Deeper with AI in Today’s K–12 Spaces.” The session will be moderated with University of Auckland faculty Dr. Helen Dixon and Dr. Gavin Brown. The session aims to explore issues on K-12 teaching and learning in the age of AI while keeping a sharp focus on classroom assessment practices from both the U.S. and New Zealand perspectives.

Co-sponsored by the Center for Innovation in Applied Education Policy (IAEP) and the Faculty of Arts and Education, Waipapa Taumata Rau/The University of Auckland this session explores how the use of generative AI intersects with themes related to 5 Pillars of Practice defined by Duckor and Holmberg's research on accuracy, agency, accessibility authenticity, and authenticity in K-12 teaching and learning spaces and upcoming publication with Harvard Education Press.
