King Library’s Digital Humanities Center presents Digital Dialogues...

Are you concerned about the effects of Artificial Intelligence on your day-to-day life? Confused about the inherent ethical dilemma of using automated learning to enhance your productivity? Does the thought of watching humanity get replaced by highly efficient drones keep you up at night? Do Androids actually dream of electric sheep?

If you’ve pondered any of these questions, then Digital Dialogues is for you! We’ll be meeting once a month to discuss the ethics and impact of AI and other emerging technologies on our lives, as presented in notable works of speculative fiction. Focusing on a blend of modern classics and canonical works in the genre, we will strive to better understand the illusive relationship between man and machine in order to better prepare ourselves for an increasingly digital future.

For our October meeting, we will discuss The Circle by Dave Eggers. Check out a copy and join us on Tuesday October 29th at 5pm for a stimulating discussion.
