Immigration practices that separate family members can cause severe and long-lasting harm. Children that grow up without parents can suffer toxic stress.  But in a nation that must establish rules to control the flow of migration, what's the solution?  In Families Across Borders: a live connection, SJSU journalism alumni tell individual stories of family separation.  The evening includes discussion with sociologists and lawmakers.  The virtual audience will have the opportunity to ask questions of the families and panel of experts.
