San Jose State University
Join us on Sunday, April 10th from 9-5 pm at the 7th Street Paseo, next to the Cesar Chavez Arch at San José State University for a day of arts activities and creative projects to celebrate our beautiful city of San José.
San José State University’s College of Humanities will host a variety of workshops run by local artists, students, and faculty from SJSU working in the arts. View art through a Mobile Art Kiosk, create visual art pieces through photography and printmaking, or share your experience about living in San José through writing.
Projects include:
All ages postcard decorating for inclusion in our traveling art exhibition kiosk.
Live painting demonstration by artist Francisco Ramirez.
Self-guided downtown public art walking tour map distribution and community arts project: add your favorite public artwork in San Jose to our map.
Make a sun print or cyanotype, an early technique for making photographs without a camera.
Opportunities to learn about arts programming at the Natalie and James Thompson Gallery, the San Jose Museum of Art and the College of Humanities and the Arts and win prizes.
