The exhibit Irene Shiori: A Bay Area Girl Expanded, presents artworks across a broad spectrum of mediums by Bay Area native and Diosa de las Rosas, Irene Shiori. Shiori’s art works center Xicana/e/o/x art and speak to themes of cultura, community advocacy, relationships, strength and beauty. 

Mediums in this collection of works include ballpoint on paper, enamel paint, ceramics, acrylics, spray paint, and glass etching. Presented by Research Services & Social Sciences Xicana Librarian Essy Barroso-Ramirez of the SJSU Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Library.
