Join us at the Digital Humanities Center in Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library from 5-6pm for the fourth installment of Long Story Short, a workshop series that explores the art of brevity across literature, theater, visual art, and film! This iteration will focus on short films.

Led by visting artist Professor Christopher Cobillas-Ottinger, this workshop will equip participants with the skills to create their own short films which might be featured in a short forms festival in April!

Want to learn more? Stop by our table on 7th Paseo Plaza between 12-2pm. We’ll be handing out postcards with a short writing prompt as an invitation to compose a haiku or six-word story to send home. This simple yet meaningful exchange transforms a traditional poetic form into a moment of connection, reflecting on themes of home, memory, and community.

Supported by the College of Humanities & the Arts’ Artistic Excellence Programming Grant.
