DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Digital Humanities Center in Dr. Martin Luther K
ing\, Jr. Library from 5-6pm for the fourth installment of Long Story Short
\, a workshop series that explores the art of brevity across literature\, t
heater\, visual art\, and film! This iteration will focus on short films.\n
\nLed by visting artist Professor Christopher Cobillas-Ottinger\, this work
shop will equip participants with the skills to create their own short film
s which might be featured in a short forms festival in April!\n\nWant to le
arn more? Stop by our table on 7th Paseo Plaza between 12-2pm. We’ll be han
ding out postcards with a short writing prompt as an invitation to compose
a haiku or six-word story to send home. This simple yet meaningful exchange
transforms a traditional poetic form into a moment of connection\, reflect
ing on themes of home\, memory\, and community.\n\nSupported by the College
of Humanities & the Arts’ Artistic Excellence Programming Grant.
