About this Event
1 Washington Sq, San Jose, CA 95112
https://longstoryshortsjsu.com/Join us at the Art Building in Rm 309 from 5-6pm for a zine workshop, the second in the Long Story Short workshop series that explores the art of brevity across literature, theater, visual art, and film!
Led by Professor Carla Fisher Schwartz, this workshop will equip participants with the skills to produce their own mini-zines which might be featured in a short forms festival in April!
Want to learn more? Stop by our table on 7th Paseo Plaza on November 12th between 12-2pm. We’ll be handing out postcards with a short writing prompt as an invitation to compose a haiku or six-word story to send home. This simple yet meaningful exchange transforms a traditional poetic form into a moment of connection, reflecting on themes of home, memory, and community.
Supported by the College of Humanities & the Arts’ Artistic Excellence Programming Grant.
