Vocalist/pianist extraordinaire Loston Harris has established himself worldwide as a master of the Great American Songbook. Harris has commandeered the prestigious piano seat at The Carlyle, in New York City for over a decade now.

Having earned his chops studying with New Orleans legend, jazz pianist Ellis Marsalis, Harris came onto the jazz scene during the “Young Lions” era, touring with Wynton Marsalis, Marcus Roberts and James Moody to name a few. He has since proven his skills in many different, world- class settings.

His early influences range from Stevie Wonder to Carole King, but his true love is jazz, which he describes as “hip, serious, complex, improvisational and limitless.” He blends traditional jazz riffs, gospel and blues with his own unique style, garnered from his percussive roots.

Harris is proud to present his much anticipated latest release, “Swingfully Yours” (Magenta Label Group). This is his fifth release honoring the tradition established by Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Bobby Short.

Presented in part by SJSU College of Humanities and Arts AEPG Grants, San Jose Jazz, and the Hammer Theater.
