DESCRIPTION:You are warmly invited to join us in celebrating Nowruz\, the P
ersian New Year\, a festival that marks the arrival of spring and symboliz
es renewal\, hope\, and new beginnings. \n\nNowruz is celebrated by over 3
00 million people across the Middle East\, Central Asia\, South Asia\, and
the Balkans. Key countries celebrating it as a major holiday include Iran
 \, Afghanistan\, Azerbaijan\, Tajikistan\, Uzbekistan\, Kyrgyzstan\, Kazak
 hstan\, Turkey\, Iraq (Kurdistan)\, India\, Pakistan\, Albania\, and recen
tly\, Syria. \n\nAt a time like this\, when many in Iran face profound cha
llenges and continue to fight for basic human rights and freedom\, coming
together to honor Nowruz is a powerful and meaningful way to keep this cul
ture alive and affirm resilience\, connection\, and hope.\n\nPlease join u
s on Thursday\, March 19\, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. for an afternoon of com
 munity\, culture\, and celebration. \n\nAll are welcome\, and we hope to s
ee you there.\n\nThis event is lovingly coordinated by our Persian staff a
nd faculty volunteers. Special thanks to Nima Abrishamkar (Applied Data Sc
 ience) for organizing this celebration!
