Join us for a workshop that engages in dialogue about radical forgiveness, or the profound notion that we don’t have to live with fear, pain, hostility, or injustice because we have control over the way we perceive, understand, and act. Radical forgiveness is a fluid and deliberate process that allows us to heal the wounds from injustice and bias. Exhibit visitors start with 5 retractable signs that explain what radical forgiveness is, why it is necessary for social justice, common misconceptions, pathways to forgiveness, and directions for The Forgiveness Quilt. The Forgiveness Quilt is an interactive art activity. Each visitor is given a canvas and paint supplies. They are asked to paint their bias, or ways the world has been biased against them, and then ask or provide forgiveness. After creating their painting, each visitor hangs their canvas on the line with other canvases to populate the museum of radical forgiveness.
