DESCRIPTION:Allison Leigh Holt uses techniques of expanded cinema and the L
 ight and Space movement to model divergent ways of knowing. Holt is a Fulb
 right Scholar (Indonesia) whose work has been commissioned by The Ford Fou
 ndation Gallery\, Djerassi Resident Artist Program\, The Exploratorium\, t
 he David Bermant Foundation\, the San Francisco Arts Commission\, Denise M
 ontell Molecular Science Laboratories (UC Santa Barbara)\, and Cemeti Inst
 itute for Art and Society (Indonesia). Holt has been a resident artist/res
 earcher at Sanggar Perbakayun (Indonesia)\; EMPAC (RPI)\; the Santa Barbar
 a Center for Art\, Science and Technology\; and the Harvard-Smithsonian Ce
 nter for Astrophysics. They have exhibited at Eye Filmmuseum (NL)\, The Fo
 rd Foundation Gallery\, The Ann Arbor Film Festival\, BAMPFA\, Stanford Un
 iversity\, SFMOMA\, Cemeti Institute for Art and Society (Indonesia)\, The
  North Dakota Museum of Art\, the Boston Cyberarts Festival\, San Francisc
 o Cinematheque\, the Urban Screens Conference (Melbourne)\, and the Yogyak
 arta International New Media Festival. They have lectured at cellsBUTTON a
 nd Video Vortex (Indonesia)\; Imagining the Universe: Cosmology in Art and
  Science (Stanford)\; RIXC Art-Science Festival (Latvia)\; After Agency (P
 oland)\; FEMeeting (Canada)\; and the University of North Dakota Writers C
 onference\, with sci-fi author Kim Stanley Robinson and theoretical physic
 ist Brian Greene. They were plenary faculty in the 2022 Mind & Life Summer
  Research Institute and are a current fellow at the Montalvo Art Center. H
 olt’s writing has featured in Yale’s Theater Magazine\, Panorama Journ
 al\, Public Journal\, and Leonardo Journal. They pursue Ph.D. studies at R
 ensselaer Polytechnic Institute at the intersection of neurodivergence\, f
