SJSU Theatre Presents: The Thanksgiving Play

The Thanksgiving Play by MacArthur genius grant recipient, Larissa Fasthorse (Sicangu Lakota) shows when good intentions collide with absurd assumptions. In this wickedly funny satire, a troupe of terminally woke teaching artists are tasked with devising an elementary school pageant that somehow manages to celebrate both Turkey Day and Native American Heritage Month. The Thanksgiving Play puts our traditional American origin story in the comedy-crosshairs with hilarious and uncomfortable results.

The play runs 90 minutes with no intermission.
