Thank you for your continued support of campus safety and preparedness efforts. We are pleased to offer Campus Safety & Preparedness training sessions this February, designed to strengthen personal preparedness and safety awareness across the San José State University community.

These sessions provide an overview of key campus safety resources, including—but not limited to—Spartan Safe, SJSU’s campus safety app. Whether you are new to campus or looking for a refresher, this training offers practical information to support both personal and community safety.

Training Topics Include:

• Overview of campus safety and preparedness resources

• Introduction to Spartan Safe and its safety features

• Police, Fire, and EMS contact tools

• Mobile BlueLight and Friend Walk

• King Library security reporting

• Report a Tip

• Safety Escort / Safe Ride Program

• Parking and Transportation safety information

• Campus safety resources and emergency notifications

Spartan Safe integrates the university’s safety and security systems into an accessible, easy-to-use app that supports students, faculty, and staff while on campus.

To provide flexibility, multiple training sessions are offered in both Zoom and in-person formats. All February sessions cover the same material.
