In this talk/workshop we begin with a small presentation about the history of technology and its weaponization in war. The presentation will particularly focus on the horrors of thermal violence, technologies that utilize electromagnetic radiation to cause intense heat pain in an effort to control people. After the presentation we will have a short Q/A, and then we will break out into small groups where each group will work together to draft a sketch, with colored pencils and crayons, of a counter-technology to thermal technology. All drawing/sketch materials will be provided. All students, regardless of department or drawing skills, are welcome to the workshop.
