Washington Square Hall houses several departments of the College of Health and Human Sciences and the College of Humanities and the Arts. The building is comprised of a range of conventional format classrooms, large lecture halls and auditoriums, dance studios, and was the filming location for scenes in the 1997 film Flubber starring Bay Area local icon Robin Williams.
